Beeindruckende Figurengruppe in Alabaster dreiviertelrund gearbeitet, rückwärtig kursorisch bearbeitetes Gewand. Standfigur der Maria mit ihrer Linken das zu ihr gewandte Jesuskind haltend und seine Hand zärtlich mit ihrer Rechten berührend. Der Blick des ganz oval aufgefassten Gesichtes, das von Parallelsträhnen gesäumt wird, schweift in die Ferne und dient als Sinnbild für die Passion Christi, die Maria zu erahnen scheint. Das Material des Alabaster kontrastiert in seiner naturalistischen Farbauffassung reizvoll mit der zarten Goldornamentik und der roten Verbrämung, mit der das Gewand ausgestaltet ist. Diese Madonna findet in Komposition, Stil und Ausführung viele Übereinstimmungen mit der Skulptur, die der sogenannte Meister von Monte San Giusto in den Marken für die Kirche Santa Maria della Pietà in Telusiano geschaffen hat.
