Brustbildnis des Mannes vor karminrotem Hintergrund. Er trägt dunkelblaue Kleidung, vor der sich der lange weiße Bart besonders gut abhebt; auf dem Kopf ein sorgsam gebundener weißer Turban mit Musterung. Sein Blick nach oben gerichtet.
Der österreichische Maler errang hauptsächlich durch orientalistische Motive Erfolg. Wohl um 1880 erfolgten Studienreisen nach Spanien, Marokko und Konstantinopel. (14014825) (13)
