Beigegeben CITES-Dokument, gültig für kommerzielle Zwecke in der EU.
Hochrechteckiges Täfelchen mit Darstellung des Leidenschristus in Halbfigur, partiell bemalt, die Nimbusscheibe sowie der Fesselstrick und der maiskolbenförmige Abschluss des Spottzepters vergoldet. In den unteren Ecken und oben seitlich je eine stilisierte Rosette. Die eingelegte Bezeichnungsplakette in Silber. Einfassung durch hochstehende Rahmenleisten.
Der Stil weist auf eine Arbeit der niederländischen Kolonialzeit in Ceylon. Die Insel, ab 1505 portugiesisch, fiel im 17. Jahrhundert unter niederländische, 1802 unter britische Herrschaft. Die christlichen Gemeinden hatte eine reiche kulturelle Tätigkeit, wobei ein eigener Stil entwickelt werden konnte. A.R.
