Am rechten Ufer eines Sees oder breiten Flusslaufs ein kleines anlegendes Ruderboot, auf das einige elegant gekleidete Herrschaften warten. Daneben ein größeres Segelboot und im Hintergrund vor Häuserkulisse weitere Boote. Darstellung mit betonter Lichtführung.
Darstellungen mit Flusslandschaften und Anlegestelle waren ein beliebtes Motiv im 17. Jahrhundert, so zu finden auch bei Jan Brueghel d.Ä. und anderen Malern. (1402238) (1) (18)
