Vollständig ausgeführter Bozzetto für ein großformatiges Gemälde, das eine erregte Menge auf einem römischen Platz zeigt. Im Zentrum eine Priesterin, die dem Volk die zerschlissene Toga Caesars zeigt, dahinter der aufgebahrte Leichnam. Ein Mann aus dem Volk weist jubelnd hin zu der goldenen Figur der Siegesgöttin auf eine Säule, während sich vorne ein Mann in Toga aus der Menge entfernt. Links zieht die Sänfte eines Hochrangigen ins Bild. Im Hintergrund römische Prachtbauten, vor denen links oben die Bronzewölfin als Symbol Roms zu sehen ist. (1401663) (11)
