Darstellung der weltbekannten Skulpturengruppe in Marmor, wie sie seit 1960 in den Vatikanischen Museen zu sehen ist, seit der 1905 durch Ludwig Pollack gefundene Unterarm korrekt, nämlich angewinkelt statt gestreckt, angebracht und Ergänzungen entfernt wurden. Das Original, das 1506 in Rom wiederentdeckt wurde, zeigt die Darstellung des Priesters Laokoon mit seinen Söhnen, Antiphates und Tymbreus, der durch den Fluch der Götter von Schlangen erwürgt wird. Auf gestuftem Kombinationssockel unter Verwendung verschiedener Marmorarten. (1401361) (13)
