Die beiden Männer sind durch ein geschicktes Spiel von Licht und Schatten und dichte Pinselstriche geformt, die die Weichheit des Bartes oder der Haare, die die Schläfen umrahmen, definieren. Die beiden aufwendig gestalteten Turbane scheinen fast gesplittert zu sein und vermitteln den taktilen Eindruck des Stoffes. Intensiv und tief scheinen sie das Wesen der beiden dargestellten Männer einzufangen. (1401259) (13)
