Vor unbestimmtem dunklem Fond das Hüftportrait eines leicht nach links gerichteten Mannes im besten Alter. Kleidung und Darstellungsweise sind tizianesk, der Blick gilt dem Betrachter, ein weißer, in flottem Pinselduktus gemalter Kragen akzentuiert das bärtige Gesicht im sonst nur dezent definierten Raum. Apollodoro di Porcia, oder auch Il Porcia war - aus dem Friaul stammend - bis ins frühe 17. Jahrhundert ein beliebter Maler in Padua und Lehrer des Bildnismalers Giambattista Bissoni.
