Links in das Bildfeld hineinführende Ansicht einer Reihung antiker Ruinen. Salucci pflegte sorgfältige Studien an Werken Viviano Codazzis, der führenden Persönlichkeit im Genre der Architektur-Capricci. Seine Figuren wurden meist von Jan Miel beigesteuert. Erst später hellt er seine Palette im Sinne Claude Lorraines merklich auf und entfernt sich dadurch von jeglicher Dramatisierung; und bereits hier ist eine Sfummato-Stimmung besonders im Hintergrund augenscheinlich.
