Großformatige und mehrfigurige Darstellung der Anbetung der Heiligen Drei Könige in Bethlehem. Links Maria mit Kind auf dem Schoß. Ihr zu Füßen kniend einer der Drei Könige. In den Händen hält er ein Goldgefäß, dahinter König Balthasar in blauem Seidenmantel, in den Händen ein Weihrauchgefäß. Rechts in rotem Mantel der dritte der Könige mit einem goldenen Myrrhegefäß. Am linken Bildrand erhöht stehend der Heilige Josef. Der Maler hat vor allem auf die Prächtigkeit der reichen Textilien Wert gelegt, im unteren Zentrum gold leuchtend der Brokatmantel des knienden Königs mit Hermelinfütterung. Stilistisch sind sowohl italienische Einflüsse als auch Anregungen von van Dyck zu sehen, jedenfalls was das Gesicht der Maria betrifft. (10021818) (11)

Large-scale and multi-figured depiction of the Adoration of the Magi in Bethlehem. The painter particularly emphasized the magnificence of the rich textiles. Stylistically, the painting shows Italian influences as well as inspirations by van Dyck, at least in the depiction of Mary’s face.
