Das hier angebotene Gemälde wird beim RKD in Den Haag geführt als Werkstattarbeit von Abraham Janssens mit der Nummer 238302.
Um ein Holzgefäß mit Umreifung herum sitzen drei Figuren, die in ihrer Aufeinanderfolge von links nach rechts mit ihren Attributen, der in dieser Reihenfolge zunehmenden Blüten, den Frühling symbolisieren und mittels der über ihnen dargestellten Tierkreiszeichen Widder, Stier und Zwilling die Zeit zwischen dem 21. März und dem 21. Juni verkörpern. Ganz offensichtlich ist dies der Teil einer Folge von vier Jahreszeitenbildern, die als Folge als Kopie überliefert sind: siehe Sotheby‘s, London, 16. April 1980, Lot 52.
