Demi Lune-Form in Mahagoni und mit Mahagonifurnier. In vier konisch auslaufenden Zapfensabots stehende, kannelierte, konisch auslaufende Beine mit eingezogenem Tableau mit à jour gearbeiteter Galerie und feinteiligem Lambrequindekor in Ormolu. Dreischübige Zarge jeweils durch Ormolu-Ornamentband gerahmt, durch radiale Ornamente verbunden und mit gegossenen Rundhandhaben versehen. Leicht überkragende, den Zügen des Möbels folgende grau-weiß geäderte Marmordeckplatte.
Anmerkung:
Jean Nicolay lobt die „finesse et élégance de ses oeuvres“ und weist ausdrücklich auf die perfekte Übernahme der Vorbilder von J.H. Riesener hin, bei der Caumont ein „très bel acajou“ und eine „élégante ornementation de bronzes finement sculptés“ verwendete. Abschließend hält Nicolay fest „En bref, J. Caumont a toujours produit sous le signe de la distinction et méritent... dans la pléiade des grand maîtres ébénistes une place de choix“.
